Step by step cooking stewed pork liver with pumpkin, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the liver and pat dry with a paper towel. If it tastes bitter, then pre-soak it in milk for half an hour. Pork liver usually has a specific bitterness. But if for you it is piquancy and does not interfere with enjoying the taste of the dish, then this action can be omitted. Next, cut the pumpkin into medium pieces and put to fry in a well-heated frying pan with vegetable oil.
2. Fry the liver over medium heat until golden brown so that each bite is golden brown.
3. Peel the pumpkin, remove the fibers with seeds and cut into pieces. The size of the pieces should be the same as the liver. I recommend chopping the food coarser, so they will keep their shape well and look beautiful in the finished dish. Then put the pumpkin to fry in another pan with heated vegetable oil.
4. Fry the pumpkin over medium heat until golden brown on all sides.
5. In another frying pan, sauté the onion chopped in half rings and the garlic cloves until transparent.
6. In one large skillet, combine the fried liver with pumpkin and onion.
7. Season with salt, pepper, soy sauce and season with any spices. Cover with a lid, simmer and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve the meal warm with any side dish or as an independent meal.
