Today we will prepare a viscous oatmeal porridge in water with dried fruits for breakfast. In this recipe, the flakes are not boiled in water, but steamed with dried fruits in boiling water. It turns out a very nutritious and tasty porridge for breakfast or afternoon tea. But if you are a lover of thinner oatmeal, then take more water. Dried fruits give the dish a sweet and sour taste and additional nutritional value. Oatmeal can be cooked in different ways, though, with the addition of your other favorite ingredients. For example, the most common additive is raisins. With it, the dish is also tasty and healthy.
In addition to the taste of the dish, oatmeal has many useful qualities. The main one is the normalization of the stomach and intestines. Its use significantly helps to improve the condition of the skin, hair and nails. It calms the nervous system, cleanses the body of toxins and toxins, removes cholesterol with bile and normalizes blood glucose levels. Ingredients:
- Instant oatmeal - 75 g
- Honey - 1 tablespoon or to taste
- Dried apricots or other dried fruits (prunes, raisins, dates, figs) - 15-20 g
- Drinking water - for steaming
Step by step cooking oatmeal in water with dried fruits, recipe with photo:
1. Choose a convenient deep container in which to cook porridge. Pour oatmeal into it. Wash dried apricots, dry, cut into pieces of any size and add to a bowl with cereals.
2. Pour boiling water over the food so that it covers them 1 finger higher. Then the porridge will be thick. If you like it liquid, then double the amount of water 2 times. Cover the oatmeal with a lid and let it sit for 5 minutes to swell and expand. When the oatmeal in water with dried fruits is ready, add a spoonful of honey and stir. You cannot steam honey with boiling water, otherwise it will lose all healing properties. And if honey causes allergies, then replace it with sugar or your favorite jam.
