Today I present a version of oatmeal on water with black currant. Although instead of black currant, you can add any other fruits that are available in a given season. For example, in summer, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, apricots, apples, etc. are suitable. In the winter season, seasonal fillings are suitable, use frozen fruits and berries, dried fruits, nuts, grapes and other sweeteners that are available at home.

Ingredients:
- Instant oat flakes - 70 g
- Honey - 1 tablespoon or to taste
- Black currant - 30 g
- Water - for steaming
Step by step cooking oatmeal in water with black currant, recipe with photo:
1. Place the black currants in a sieve and rinse under running water. Pat dry with a paper towel and tear off the sepal tails.
2. Place the oatmeal in a deep bowl and cover with boiling water. The amount of water should be 1.5 times more than the flakes. Then the porridge will be of medium consistency. If you want to get a thinner porridge, then add 2 times more water.
3. Cover the oatmeal with a lid or saucer and leave to steam for 3-5 minutes. During this time, the flakes will absorb all the water and increase in size.
4. Add honey to the porridge. If you are allergic to bee products, then use sugar or any jam.
5. Stir the food and taste the dish. Add more sweetener if needed.
