Homemade mayonnaise is a great substitute for a store-bought product. Because, first of all, it is much more useful, tk. does not contain harmful preservatives. Secondly, you can add any spicy spices to your taste. Thirdly, it is much cheaper. Fourthly, it is prepared very quickly and simply, no more than 5-10 minutes.

Many people think that mayonnaise is a very high-calorie product and not very healthy. An interesting fact is that you can only think so about store products called "Mayonnaise", while it has absolutely nothing to do with the famous real sauce. It is very easy to verify this. It is enough just to look at the list of ingredients, where it will be almost impossible to find natural products. In this case, preservatives and flavoring "E" additives are present in excess. It is these harmful additives that affect the fat content and calorie content of the product. Real mayonnaise is prepared exclusively from fresh eggs and vegetable oil, and everything else is added for taste - sugar, salt, mustard, lemon juice.

Based on this, if you make mayonnaise yourself, then it will not be so fatty and too high in calories. Well, and to make it tasty for you, of course, I will reveal some secrets.

  • For mayonnaise, a whole egg is usually placed, but the classic recipe uses only the yolk.
  • Food must be at only room temperature.
  • You can use table vinegar instead of lemon juice.
  • To keep the mayonnaise last longer, use only fresh food, especially eggs.
  • Store mayonnaise in a cool place under a tightly closed lid.
  • If you take mayonnaise with a clean spoon, then it will be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • Vegetable oil is usually added to mayonnaise, but olive oil can also be used.
