Dry wash
Light dirt on leather gloves can be removed with a dry wash. To do this, wipe the surface of the gloves with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water. Put a glove on your hand to see where the dirt is. Using a swirling motion from fingers to wrist, gently wipe them. After completing the procedure, remove the remaining moisture.
Wet wash
Dissolve a mild detergent, shampoo, baby soap, or delicatessen powder in lukewarm water. Take 50 grams of any detergent per liter of water, you can add 10 grams of alcohol. Put one glove on your hand so that it is straightened out, this way the dirt will be removed faster. In your other hand, take a sponge or flannel soaked in soapy water. Slowly rub the dirty areas, then walk over the entire surface. Remove soap residues with a clean, damp sponge. Do not wring or twist the product. Leave gloves to dry away from heaters and direct light sources. After drying, treat them with cream, glycerin or protective spray.
Removing greasy stains
Cut the onions in half and rub them over the problem area on the glove. After manipulation, treat the surface with an aromatic napkin, it will muffle the onion smell.
Removal of stubborn dirt
Make a 2/1 solution with 2 parts turpentine and one serving gasoline. Wipe the stain with the product. - Machine wash is not suitable for leather gloves.
How to clean the inside of leather gloves?
Turn out the product. If there is no pad, use a soft brush to remove dirt by rubbing the leather with the same solution as the front side. But add ammonia or hydrogen peroxide to the solution. Clean the inside of the fabric lining with a soft damp brush, wipe the fur with talcum powder, rubbing it into the fur until the talcum powder acquires a dark shade.
Features of cleaning leather gloves depending on color

- Dark skin. Black or brown leather gloves can be cleaned off with a cleaning solution. Mix 100 ml of warm water, 0.5 tsp. ammonia, 5 tsp. washing powder, 5 tsp. hydrogen peroxide. In this composition, wet a sponge or cotton swab and wipe the dirty areas. Wash off any remaining detergent with a clean, damp sponge. You can also use milk, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice to wash dark gloves.
- Bright skin. It is not recommended to clean white and beige leather gloves with soapy water. after drying, yellowish stains will be noticeable on them. A good remedy is a mixture of baking soda and milk. Light skin is rubbed with this gruel. Snow-white products are cleaned with ammonia. A few drops of hydrogen peroxide can be poured into the solution. Stubborn stains will be removed by lemon juice.
- Colored leather. Colored gloves look amazing, but they are finicky to wear. dirt is quickly visible on them, and it is difficult to wash them. Yeast bread will help you to wash the fashion accessory. Soak it in water and apply the resulting gruel to problem areas. Leave the product on for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water. Lubricate a clean accessory with burdock oil to give the original shape. The stores also sell special sprays for colored gloves.
- Suede leather. For washing suede products, use shampoo, baby soap, liquid powder or dish detergent. Dissolve the selected product in warm water and whip into a lather. Put gloves on your hands and dip in water. Wipe heavily soiled areas with a soft brush or sponge. After washing, rinse and dry, preferably on the mannequin's arm.
- Play gloves. Gloves are wiped with glycerin, light-colored - with warm milk. Washing is contraindicated for them, as they are less moisture resistant.
