Thank you to the chef who first cooked the meatballs. There are many different ways to prepare them: in Italy they are prepared with cheese, with beans in Mexico, in Provence they add apple juice to the sauce, and in Sweden - cream and nutmeg.
The meatballs are stewed in tomato, sour cream, cream, broth, even wine! In many families they are often cooked and children love this dish, because it is so easy to throw a neat round meatball whole into your mouth and then proudly say: “I ate six whole pieces!”.
These meat balls perfectly coexist with any side dish: pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, buckwheat porridge. For the housewives, this is an opportunity to feed the family with dinner, and if the meatballs are left, the next day put them with pieces of vegetables in lunch boxes to have a snack at lunchtime. Meatballs are a wonderful dish that tastes equally good both hot and cold. Cook them with gravy in tomato sauce in a slow cooker, and you will be sure of what to serve for dinner for a couple of days. This way of cooking will also save your time, and the taste of this dish, believe me, will be wonderful.

Step by step cooking meatballs in tomato sauce in a slow cooker
1. We will choose meat for meatballs and we will pass it through the meat grinder ourselves, or we will buy ready-made minced meat in a butcher's shop, as we did. We took a not very fatty pork. Add an egg to it, very finely chopped or grated onion, salt and season with spices to taste.
2. Soak a piece of white roll in half a glass of warm water or milk. Let the bread soak, and then squeeze and send it to the minced meat. In order for it to become homogeneous, adhere well and subsequently the meatballs do not fall apart, we beat the minced meat for several minutes: with a little effort, we throw it into a bowl or on the surface of a cutting board.
3. We roll meatballs between the palms - balls measuring 3 centimeters in diameter. Roll each in flour.
4. Put the meatballs in the multicooker bowl, after pouring some vegetable oil on the bottom. We set the "Fry" program and wait for the meatballs to brown on one side, then turn them over so that they are fried on the other.
5. Dilute the tomato paste in a glass of water, add a little salt, add spices for the aroma and pour the meat balls with the sauce. Fans of spicy flavors can add a chopped clove of garlic or a few chili pieces to the multicooker bowl.
6. Set the "Stew" mode on the multicooker and continue to cook the meatballs for 40 minutes. Stir them two to three times during cooking.
7. Serve the meatballs sprinkled with fresh chopped herbs. We decided to serve mashed potatoes for a side dish.
8. Delicious and fragrant meatballs in tomato sauce in a slow cooker are ready! Enjoy their delicate taste with the whole family.
