Deep-fried cheese is a great snack for canapes, gourmet mini-buffets and all kinds of salads. Its taste can be easily varied by adding a variety of spices and herbs, and multi-colored coconut flakes are well suited for a festive option.

How to fry cheese?

For frying cheese, it is most rational to use hard varieties - Russian, Edam, Suluguni, Gouda, Mozzarella, etc. The reason for this is that the ready-made food has a pleasant crispy crust and a surprisingly delicate texture.

The basic principle of proper frying of cheese is that the cheese melts and spreads when heated. Therefore, for frying it must be protected, i.e. pack in an edible shell. It is the composition of this protective shell that is the main difference between grilled cheese recipes.

You can fry cheese in French, grate it, add salt, pepper, and form small balls from this mixture, which are rolled in flour or breadcrumbs and fried in any fat.

Fried cheese cubes are no less tasty. Their plus - it is convenient to pry on and dip in the sauce. In this case, the cheese is cut into small pieces, which are sprinkled with flour or breadcrumbs and dipped in the egg mass.

A delicious way to grill cheese is in slices that can be used to make sandwiches, sandwiches and hamburgers. It is this type of cheese schnitzel that we will cook.

Ingredients:

  • Refined vegetable oil - for frying

1. Cut the cheese into even slices at least 5-7 mm thick.

2. Whisk the egg into a deep bowl and whisk well. If you wish, you can add sugar, garlic or any seasonings and herbs to the egg. When fried, these additives will give the cheese a subtle, unique flavor, and the sugar will form a golden brown and beautiful crust. It is necessary to select spices based on your own taste, preference and further use of fried cheese.

3. Now dip each piece of fried cheese in an egg mass.

4. Then place a slice of cheese in a plate with breadcrumbs.

5. And bread the cheese on both sides with breadcrumbs. Then, for a stronger breading, do the same procedure again, i.e. dip the cheese in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Thus, due to the multi-layered breading of the cheese, it will not leak into the pan during frying.

6. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and send the cheese schnitzels to fry.

7. Set the heating temperature to the middle position and fry the cheese on both sides until golden brown, about 2 minutes each. Ready cheese can be served as an independent dish with a glass of white wine or a glass of frothy beer, as well as used to prepare any dish.
