Few people know about the use of pumpkin in the preparation of masks. This is just a godsend for the skin of the face - it nourishes, whitens, refreshes and rejuvenates! Pumpkin is a rich source of vitamins and minerals: it contains a lot of calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, magnesium, especially beta-carotene. Even with sensitive skin, these masks tighten pores, whiten, cleanse, relieve irritation, make the skin velvety and fresh, and eliminate dark circles under the eyes.
Pumpkin face masks
If the skin is oily
- Pre-grate raw pumpkin on a fine grater, take 1 tbsp. l. the resulting mass and stir with the egg white (mixer). Apply the mixture, rinse off after 15 minutes with cool water. Oily skin is well cleaned with pumpkin juice - you can safely use it instead of a tonic!
- Grate the pumpkin pulp (you will need to take 1 tbsp. L. Grated pulp). Mix with 1 tbsp. l. oatmeal (wheat flour) or starch. Add 2 tbsp. l. fresh tomato juice, 1 tsp. lemon juice. Keep the mask for 15 minutes, then rinse with water.
If the skin is dry and flaky
Boil several slices of pumpkin in milk, having previously peeled them. Cooking time is 15 minutes. For very dry or flaky skin, replace milk with fresh cream. Apply the resulting gruel in a warm form with a thick layer.
Against freckles and age spots
Crush peeled pumpkin seeds (1 tablespoon), add sour milk (1 tablespoon), honey and lemon juice (1 teaspoon each). Instead of lemon juice, you can use parsley juice. Stir all ingredients, then apply for 15 minutes. For bleaching, you can simply apply a thick layer of pumpkin pulp for 20 minutes. For sensitive skin
Mix pumpkin juice (2 tablespoons) with egg yolk, honey and olive oil (1 teaspoon each). Add a little oatmeal to thicken the mixture. The mask should not spread, but at the same time it should not be too thick. Apply, rinse off after 15 minutes with warm water.
For aging skin
You will need to take several slices of a peeled vegetable, boil in milk until the consistency of a thick gruel. Then take 1 tbsp. l. the resulting mixture, add there egg yolk, a little milk, natural honey (1 tsp). The mask must be cured for 15 minutes.
Mask for moisturizing and freshness
- Folk recipes suggest using pumpkin seeds: take 2 tbsp. l. seeds, after peeling them from the skin, crush and place the seeds in boiling water. Boil until thick. Apply the slightly cooled mask for 15 minutes, then remove it with a damp cotton swab.
- Boil the pulp in milk (1 tbsp. L), mix it with vegetable oil or sour cream. Hold the mask, then rinse with warm water.
- Take 1 tbsp. l. cottage cheese, mix with fresh pumpkin juice. This mask perfectly moisturizes and nourishes.
Cleans and fortifies
Try the following mask: Boil a small amount of peeled pumpkin and mash. Take only one tablespoon l. pumpkin mass and mix with yogurt in equal proportions. With dry face, replace yogurt with sour cream or cream, with oily - with kefir.
Pumpkin anti-wrinkle mask

- To prepare the mask, you will need to take mashed boiled pumpkin (2 tablespoons), sour cream or cream (1 tbsp.l.), a few drops of vitamin A in oily form (sold in pharmacies). Mix all ingredients until smooth, then apply on slightly damp skin of the neck, face, décolleté. Soak for about 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
- You can prepare a rejuvenating broth from pumpkin seeds: grind peeled raw pumpkin seeds (1 cup) in a coffee grinder or mortar. Fill them with a liter of water, put on fire. As it boils, turn it off. The mixture must be infused for 2-3 hours, then strain. Use to wipe the face, neck, décolleté, arms, shoulders. Store the broth in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
