The healthy pumpkin-curd mass can be flavored by seasoning it with vanilla, honey, cinnamon, turmeric, nutmeg, orange or lemon zest. - Cottage cheese - 300 g
- Salt - a pinch
- Pumpkin puree - 50 g
- Semolina - 3 tablespoons
- Lemon or orange peel - 1 tsp
- Pitted cherries - 100 (for filling)
- Sugar - 50 g or to taste
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Sour cream - 1, 5-2 tbsp.
Step-by-step preparation of cottage cheese-pumpkin buns on semolina with cherries, recipe with photo:
1. Place the curd in a bowl and use a fork to break up the lumps.
2. Add semolina, sugar and a pinch of salt. Also add sour cream.
3. Stir the food to distribute the semolina throughout the dough.

Orange zest can be used either dried or fresh.
5. Stir the dough well.
6. Add eggs to food and mix well again.
7. Leave the dough for half an hour for the semolina to swell and increase in volume. Otherwise, in finished products, the groats will grind on your teeth.
8. Remove pits from cherries. If you are using frozen berries, defrost them first. Wash fresh fruits and dry with a paper towel.
9. Sprinkle the hands with flour so that the dough does not stick and form a round cake.
10. Place a few cherries in the middle of the curd cake and cover with a little dough.
11. Twirl the pie in your hands until the edges of the dough come together and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
