You can cook it in a multicooker or double boiler. But if you do not have such kitchen devices, then we will manage in a simple Soviet way and prepare a delicious treat on a steam bath using a saucepan of boiling water and a colander.
The steamed cottage cheese soufflé is the perfect treat with a rich blackcurrant flavor. It is light on the stomach, easy to prepare, and very healthy. Steam soufflé with black currant will delight you with its appetizing appearance and amazing taste. Once you have tasted it, you will always cook it. Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese - 250 g
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Sour cream - 50 ml
- Sugar - 3-4 tablespoons or to taste
- Salt - a pinch
- Semolina - 40 g
- Black currant (fresh or frozen in berries or puree) - 100 g
Step-by-step cooking of steamed curd soufflé with frozen black currants, recipe with photo:
1. Place the curd in a bowl for kneading the dough. If the curd is very wet, then remove excess whey from it first. To do this, hang it in cheesecloth to drain excess liquid. Otherwise, you will have to add more semolina, from which the dessert will not be cottage cheese, but semolina.
2. Add semolina, sugar and a pinch of salt to the curd.
3. Next, pour in the eggs.
4. Grind the food with a blender until smooth without curd grains.
5. Add black currants to foods. If the berries are fresh, then wash them first, and defrost the frozen ones.
6. Stir the dough to distribute the currants evenly and leave to stand for 15 minutes to allow the semolina to swell slightly.
7. Arrange the curd mass in the tins in which you will steam the dessert.
8. Place containers with curd dough in a colander.
9. Send the colander to a pot of boiling water, making sure that the boiling water does not come into contact with the colander.
10. Place the lid on the colander and steam the curd soufflé with frozen blackcurrants for about 15 minutes. Serve it deliciously warm. Because after cooling it will become denser, but it will remain the same tasty.
