Milk-coffee jelly cake, the recipe with the photo that is described below has an amazing aroma and great taste. Of course, these days, shop counters are full of colorful packages of berry and fruit jelly. Here you can find strawberries, pineapples, raspberries, and tutti-frutti. Anything else that your heart desires! However, in such bags there is a continuous concentrate of an incomprehensible composition. And it is clear that there are no fruits in them, but only flavors and dyes. Therefore, there is no benefit in such sweetness. Output! Why buy it is not clear what? Let's better make delicious jelly at home on our own! In this review, I will tell you how to make a dessert from the simplest products: milk and coffee. Such a delicacy can be made not only for a dinner party, but also for a festive feast.
Jelly is prepared using agar-agar, pectin or gelatin. But since among these components is the most accessible gelatin, we will use it. Usually gelatin is used in powder. But if you have it with larger crystals, then follow the recommendations and instructions on the package. The manufacturer always indicates the volume of liquid, which is designed for a pack of gelatin. But for safety net, you can take a little more gelatin, for example, not 15 g, but 18-20. It is not worth doubling the amount of gelatin. Its excess will make the consistency of jelly dense and rubbery, yes, and the taste of the dessert will deteriorate.
- Caloric content per 100 g - 124 kcal.
- Servings - 1 cake for 4 persons
- Cooking time - half an hour for cooking, 1-2 hours for hardening
Ingredients:
- Milk - 1 l
- Instant coffee - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 3-5 tbsp or to taste
- Cinnamon stick - 1 pc.
- Gelatin - 30 g
Cooking milk-coffee jelly cake:
1. Divide the gelatin in half and brew one serving with 100 ml of warm milk. Mix well and let the crystals swell until completely dissolved.
2. Divide the milk in half and combine one part with brown sugar, coffee and a cinnamon stick. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes under a closed lid. Then remove the cinnamon stick from the liquid. Milk should be boiled at hot temperature.
3. Then add the dissolved gelatin to the coffee milk and mix well.
4. Cover any form with cling film and pour coffee jelly. Send it to the refrigerator to solidify.
5. When the liquid has a jelly-like consistency, cut it into medium-sized pieces.
6. Cover another deep semicircular container with cling film and pieces of coffee and milk jelly.
7. Dissolve the remaining gelatin in the same way in 100 ml of warm milk, mix and incubate until smooth. Then combine with milk and stir. I don't put sugar in milk jelly, I like contrast, when coffee jelly is sweet, but milk jelly is not. But you can also add sugar to the milk mass if you wish.
8. Pour milk mass into the frozen coffee jelly cubes and send it to the refrigerator to cool. After 1-2 hours, the mass will harden, so carefully remove the cake. Place a plate on top of the jelly and turn the container over. Using cling film, slowly remove the container. You can decorate the finished cake with any powder and serve.
