Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 2 pcs.
- Sauerkraut - 100 g
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Eggs - for decoration
- Vegetable oil - for dressing
- Cucumbers - 1 pc.
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Carrots - 2 pcs.
- Beets - 1 pc.
Step-by-step preparation of New Year's vinaigrette in the form of a Pig, recipe with photo:
1. Before cooking, boil in the skins in salted water and cool the potatoes, beets and carrots completely. When boiling beets, add a few drops of vinegar to the water. It will retain the bright burgundy color of the fruit. When the vegetables are boiled and cooled to room temperature, peel them. Then cut the beets into 0.5-0.7 mm cubes.
2. Next, slice the peeled potatoes. When slicing all the ingredients for the salad, keep the proportions of all the pieces so that they are the same size.
3. Cut the carrots into cubes as well.
4. Blot the pickles with a paper towel to remove all the pickle and chop like all the previous ingredients.
5. When all the food is ready, pick up a large plate on which to place the pig-shaped potatoes.
6. Pour vegetable oil over the potatoes and top with a layer of carrots.
7. Place a layer of pickles on top of the carrots and pour oil over the food.
8. Then lay out a layer of sauerkraut, which was previously squeezed out of the brine.
