Summer is already coming to an end, the rains will begin soon and there will be fog outside the window. To adequately “close the summer season”, I propose to cook caramelized peaches with ice cream. This fruit is still on sale and is present on our tables. We already ate it fresh, we made preparations for the winter, so we will pamper ourselves and our family with a delicious, and perhaps not very familiar dessert. However, the caramelized peaches with ice cream are fantastic. Soft peaches with a light crispy baked crust and a scoop of vanilla ice cream are the perfect treat for warm summer weather. Autumn peaches have a taste, and if caramelized, the taste will only intensify. In addition, the ingredients can be prepared in advance, and when served, simply put together.

If desired, add some whipped cream or other toppings for some sweetness. The dessert looks attractive, even though it is very easy to prepare. And if you don't have peaches, you can replace them with any other fruit: apricots, plums, apples, pears, strawberries and other favorite berries. If you wish, you can cook dessert not only in a frying pan, but also bake peaches in the oven or slow cooker.

1. Wash peaches under running water and rinse off the dusting well. Dry them with a paper towel and cut them in half. Remove the pit and cut the fruit into wedges, strips, cubes, or halves.
