This dish is very similar to our country style potatoes, but since Turkish spices and spices are used in the recipe, the dish acquires Turkish motives.
This treat is made with ingredients so affordable that any average family can cook it. And if you don't have Turkish spices, you can use whatever spices you like. Italian spices, coriander, suneli hops, nutmeg, ground ginger powder, barberry and other spices are perfect here. Also, the dish can be supplemented with all kinds of herbs. The cooking technology is very simple. You will spend no more than 15 minutes on the implementation of the recipe. The food will only need to be cut and folded into a heat-resistant form, and the oven will do the rest for you. And with all the simple cooking technology, the potatoes are soft inside, saturated with fat lard, and this whole composition is completed by the most delicate cheese crust.

- Cheese - 150 g
- Garlic - 1 head
- Dried green basil - 1 tsp
- Cumin - 0.5 tsp
- Sumak - 0.5 tsp
- Salt - 0.5 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
Step by step cooking Turkish potatoes with cheese in the oven:
1. Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into 4 pieces. If you are using young tubers, you can cook them in the skins. Then it is advisable to choose a small potato, it will be the most delicious.
2. Wash, dry and cut the tomatoes into 2-4 pieces, depending on the size of the tomatoes. If you use cherry tomatoes, then you don't need to chop them at all. Peel and chop the garlic.
3. Cut lard and cheese into thin slices. Although you can grate the cheese on the track, this is a matter of taste.
4. Place potatoes, tomatoes, garlic and bacon in a suitable ovenproof dish. Season everything with salt, ground pepper and spices.
5. Place the pieces of cheese on top. Cover the form with food foil and send it to bake in a heated oven to 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. If you want the cheese to brown, you can remove the food foil 10 minutes before cooking. For the cheese to have a soft, viscous consistency, cook the dish covered.
Serve hot freshly prepared food to the table. It's enough on its own and doesn't require any side dish. But if you wish, you can supplement it with a piece of meat or vegetable salad.
