- Sweet bell pepper - 10 pcs.
- Tomatoes - 500 g
- Onions - 2 pcs.
- Spices and herbs - any to taste
- Rice - 100 g
- Meat (any sort) - 500 g
- Cilantro - a few twigs
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Bitter pepper - 1 pod
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Basil - a few twigs
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Step by step cooking stuffed peppers at home, recipe with photo:
1. Peel the onions, wash, dry, cut into small pieces and fry in a pan until transparent.
2. Wash the meat, cut off excess fat, dry it with a paper towel and twist it through a meat grinder.
3. Wash the rice well to remove the gluten and boil in lightly salted water until half cooked. Send the rice to the minced meat bowl.
4. Add fried onion and garlic passed through a press to the minced meat.
5. Season the minced meat with salt and black pepper. Mix it well with your hands, passing between your fingers.
6. Wash and dry the pepper with a paper towel. Cut off the stem, clean out the seed box, and cut off the septa.
7. Fill the peppers tightly with the filling.
8. Place the peppers in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or skillet for braising.
9. Wash the tomatoes, chop and place in the bowl of a food processor. Peel the bitter peppers from seeds, cut off the stalk and send to the tomatoes. Add sprigs of greenery there. Season vegetables with salt and black pepper.
