Contraindications and harm to pea seedlings
The exceptional benefits of sprouts, however, is not a reason to eat them in huge quantities every day. This product, like all others, has certain characteristics that impose restrictions on its presence in the diet - that is, there is a fine line between the benefits and harms of pea sprouts.
First of all, it should be said that such food as sprouts, not only peas, should not be abused. It is very important to comply with the norms of use - at first, 1-2 tsp. a day will be enough. Gradually, the amount can be increased and in 2-3 months the norm can be brought to the maximum dose - 70 grams, if it is exceeded, unpleasant symptoms of one nature or another may be observed. The consumption rates of pea seedlings are presented in the table:
A period of time | Consumption rates per day |
First portion | 1 tsp |
After a week of regular consumption | 1 tbsp |
A month later | 30 g |
After 2-3 months | 70 g |
Of course, with extreme caution, it is required to introduce the product into the diet of allergy sufferers, children, pregnant and lactating women, as well as the elderly. In addition, it is very important for these "fragile" categories of the population to follow the consumption rate even if the product has been present in the diet for a long time.
There are no strict contraindications for pea seedlings, however, if you have certain serious diseases, especially of the digestive system, we recommend that you consult with your doctor before introducing them into your diet.
