For example, stewed ribs with onions in soy sauce is a hearty, beautiful and tasty dish that will become the favorite in the family. In this case, you can experiment with the recipe. For example, chop the ribs into larger or smaller pieces. However, they should not be too small. Be sure to cut off the films from them, and the fat layers - decide for yourself. I want fatty pieces, you can not cut off the fat. Pork ribs are used in the recipe, but you can use beef or lamb. However, the most delicious, soft and juicy are pork. Ingredients:
- Ribs - 800 g (any variety)
- Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- Soy sauce - 5 tablespoons
- Ground nutmeg - 0.5 tsp
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salt - pinch or to taste
- Allspice peas - 3-4 pcs.
- Mustard - 1 tsp
Step by step cooking stewed ribs with onions in soy sauce, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the ribs under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Remove the film and, if desired, the layers of fat. Cut them by the bones in portions.
2. Peel the onions and garlic and chop: onion - into thin half rings, garlic - into small cubes.
3. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat well. Send the ribs into it and fry on high heat for literally 7-10 minutes, so that they are golden brown on all sides. It will seal all the juice inside the piece.
4. Add the onions and garlic to the pan and turn the temperature on.
5. Continue to fry the meat and onions, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes, until the onions are golden.
6. Pour soy sauce into a container, add mustard, ground nutmeg and black ground pepper.
7. Stir well and add bay leaves and peppercorns.
8. Pour the prepared marinade over the meat and stir.
9. Cover the pan with a lid, bring to a boil, simmer and simmer ribs and onions in soy sauce for half an hour. Taste the meat after 15 minutes. Top up with salt if necessary. However, the salt may be sufficient thanks to the soy sauce. Therefore, do not salt the dish before, so as not to oversalt.
