- Bread - 2 slices
- Zucchini caviar - 3-4 tablespoons
- Milk or doctor's sausage - 50 g
Step-by-step preparation of sandwiches with squash caviar and sausage:
1. Cut the bread into slices no more than 1 cm thick.
Take any bread that you prefer: Borodino, baguette, white, loaf, etc. It is better to take it yesterday, because it keeps its shape better and does not fall apart.
If desired, sliced bread can be fried in a pan in preheated vegetable oil. And if you are counting calories, then it is better to dry it in the toaster. Or, if you don't have a toaster, dry the toast in a non-stick dry skillet. Alternatively, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lay out the bread slices and grill at 180 ° C for 5 minutes. Then you will have hot sandwiches. But for the filling of squash caviar, the dried slices must be slightly cooled, otherwise the squash caviar will heat up and spread.
Also, such sandwiches can be made on croutons. To do this, dip the toast in a beaten egg and fry in a pan on both sides. Then continue to cook according to the recipe.
2. On a slice of bread, apply 1-2 tbsp. squash caviar and spread evenly with the same layer. If you don't have squash caviar available, replace it with eggplant or any other vegetable caviar.
Sprinkle with herbs if desired, top with a circle of tomatoes, a slice of sweet red bell pepper, halves of pitted olives. You can also season the sandwiches with any spices you like.
3. Cut the sausage into thin slices and place on top of the squash roe.
Instead of cooked sausage, you can use smoked sausage, ham or ham.
Place ready-made zucchini caviar and sausage sandwiches on a plate covered with lettuce leaves. Garnish the appetizer with chopped green onions or parsley as you are done.
It is recommended to serve this breakfast on the table immediately after preparation. Sandwiches are the perfect beer snack, fresh vegetable salad, spaghetti and first courses. You do not need to store this dish, as it will lose its taste.
