Step-by-step preparation of milk-raspberry smoothie:
1. For whipping a cocktail, we use a blender (stationary or in the bowl of a hand-held electric appliance), because unfortunately, whipping by hand will not produce this drink. Therefore, dip the raspberries into the blender bowl.
In this case, I prepared a cocktail from fresh berries, having removed the cuttings in advance. Pre-fill them with cold water and leave for 5-10 minutes to exclude bugs. You can also pre-grind the berries through a sieve to remove the seeds, and put the puree from the berries in a blender.
But raspberries for this recipe can be taken frozen, either whole berries or grated. To prepare this drink all year round, I advise you to freeze berries in season. If you are making a smoothie from frozen berries, defrost them a little beforehand. This process will take no more than 10 minutes so that they only slightly thaw, do not flow and turn into porridge.
2. Pour milk of any fat content and grade into a blender. A cocktail with coconut milk is especially tasty. The higher the percentage of fat in the milk, the denser the drink will be. You can replace milk with kefir or natural yogurt.
Before preparing a cocktail, it is very important to cool the milk in the freezer so that the product is well chilled, but not frozen. Otherwise, you will not get a fluffy foam on the surface of the drink. For milk, the optimum temperature is +5 degrees.
If sweetness isn't enough for you, add sweeteners to taste if desired. It can be granulated sugar (white or brown), liquid honey of any kind (May, lime, acacia), syrup (fruit, chocolate).
I decided to feel in full the delicate taste of raspberries in combination with milk, so I did not add ice cream. But you can put it about 100 g. Anything is suitable: vanilla, ice cream, fruit, creamy, chocolate. The main thing is that the ice cream is free of various additives.
If you like sweet spices, such as ground cinnamon or vanilla, then you can add them, the main thing is that they should not interrupt the raspberry flavor and aroma.
3. Beat the contents of the jug on a pulsating mode until a smooth, creamy consistency is obtained. Do not turn off the blender for about 2 minutes so that all the berries give their taste and color to the milk drink. If desired, the finished mass can be filtered / rubbed through a fine sieve to separate the seeds (if you did not do this at the beginning of cooking).
The cocktail should be served immediately after preparation, and it is not recommended to leave it for storage in the refrigerator, as the drink may stratify. Since it is not possible to preserve it in its original form, even for a short period of time. Therefore, pour the finished raspberry-milk smoothie into tall transparent glasses or glasses and serve with a tube with a wide opening.
If frozen berries were used, then the final drink turned out to be quite chilled. To get an ice smoothie with fresh berries (if it's too hot), then add a few (1-2 pieces) ice cubes to the ingredients list. Or simply add crushed ice crumbs to the glass of your drink before serving. Garnish the drink with raspberries and mint leaves if desired. The drink turns out to be quite thick and has an incredible aroma.
