Champignons are the most versatile and widespread mushroom in the world. They are used in a wide variety of forms: fresh, canned, pickled, stuffed, baked and dried. With any method of preparation, they turn out to be juicy, aromatic and unusually tasty. Baked mushrooms with mayonnaise in the oven can be a delicious instant snack. And today we are sharing the recipe for their preparation.
Should you wash the mushrooms?
There is a lot of disagreement on this issue. After all, the mushroom very quickly absorbs water, from which many try to do without this stage, only shaking off the mushrooms from the soil. However, there is also such an audience who categorically refuses to do without washing them, since the product was on the ground. Of course, there is a middle ground in any dispute. It is imperative to wash the mushrooms, but you should not soak them for a long time. You just need to rinse them under running water and put them on a towel so that it absorbs all excess moisture.
Should you peel the mushrooms?
Many housewives do not peel champignons and do not even understand why to do this. Some will say that when ordering a salad with fresh mushrooms in a restaurant, they will be served unpeeled. However, this is how it is, but this does not mean that mushrooms can be put into business as soon as they were taken from the store counter. The mushrooms should at least be wiped with a damp towel or napkin. Of course, champignons are grown on a substrate under artificial conditions, and they seem to have nowhere to get dirty. However, their growing conditions are not sterile. In addition, it is not known what fertilizers were used to stimulate their growth. Therefore, it is better to wipe the champignons with a damp cloth, rinse under running water or blot with a napkin.

1. With champignons, carry out those manipulations that you think are necessary. As I wrote above, they can be washed under a tap of water and dried with a paper towel, or wiped off with a damp cloth. But do not soak them or ignore any preventive procedures altogether.
2. Prepare the marinade. Take a large container, which is suitable for pickling mushrooms, for their amount and pour mayonnaise there and season with black pepper.
3. Put in the mushroom seasoning and salt.
4. Stir the mayonnaise and spices well to distribute them evenly.
5. Put the mushrooms in this container and mix them well so that they are covered with marinade on all sides. The mushrooms can be cooked immediately, or you can leave to marinate for a while. It depends on the time you have. They can be pickled up to a day. Put the mushrooms on a baking sheet. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the mushrooms for 25 minutes. Serve the mushrooms immediately after cooking. In addition, you can bake them on the grill. In nature, they will become a great competitor to meat, which will surprise no one.
