Factory-made chips are persecuted by many nutritionists, which, in principle, is deserved. But sometimes it can be difficult to refuse such a delicious snack. Therefore, modern cooking has invented a way to make real potato chips at home, in just 20 minutes. In addition, they can be made with completely different flavors, spices and additives.
Secrets of making chips with your own hands
- Sharpen the knife well before cooking so that you can cut vegetables into thin slices no more than 2 mm. A food processor with a special attachment for cutting vegetables will help to simplify the task.
- Use potatoes with a minimal starch content, or soak the vegetable in water to make the most of it.
- Choose tubers of approximately the same diameter so that the pieces are the same size, without eyes and dents, so as not to cut them.
- Cut the potatoes only after they are completely dry. Dry the cut slices on a paper towel.
- Store the snack in a paper bag in the refrigerator or any other cool place.
- To make the chips more dietary, cook them in the microwave. Use a deep fat fryer for a golden crust.
- To microwave snacks, always place parchment, baking paper, or flour on the baking sheet.
- To enhance the taste of the product, use spices: paprika, dill, garlic, onion or a mixture of aromatic herbs.

Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 1 pc.
- Salt - 1/4 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp or to taste
- Ground paprika - 1/4 tsp (optional)
Cooking potato chips
1. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into thin slices, rings no more than 2 mm thick.
2. Place the sliced slices in a bowl and cover with water. Leave the tubers to rest for 15 minutes, so that a little starch comes out of them, then the potato slices will be especially crispy.
3. Mix salt, black pepper and paprika.
4. Remove the potatoes from the water, rinse and dry well with a paper towel, or place on a napkin. Then put it in a bowl and add spices to it.
5. Stir the spice and tuber slices until they are evenly covered.
6. Line a glass baking sheet with baking paper and place the potato slices on top of it.
7. Place the baking sheet in the microwave, set the oven to the highest temperature and bake the chips for about 7-10 minutes. Then you can serve them with your favorite sauces and ketchups. You can eat the appetizer not only cold, but also hot right after cooking.
