Frozen cucumbers are a recipe for preparing for the winter, which allows you to prepare a variety of salads with fresh and aromatic vegetables in winter. And despite the fact that among experienced conservatives there is an opinion that frozen cucumbers are nonsense, it is still worth trying. After all, what is sold in supermarkets in the winter under the guise of cucumbers is actually a poison, of a cucumber look. Therefore, it makes sense to think about the safety of healthy and aromatic-tasty cucumbers grown in your own garden with your own hands.

You need to freeze cucumbers not whole, but already prepared for use. If you freeze a vegetable whole, then in order to use it in a dish, you will first need to defrost it, but then it will lose its shape and elasticity, which will not allow cutting it into an even shape. Therefore, freeze cucumbers, cut into small strips or grated. Since, defrosted cucumbers can be used only as a component for various dishes, and not for slicing vegetables laid out on a dish.

You can store frozen vegetables in small plastic bags, plastic containers, or portion molds. In winter, you can use cucumbers by adding a handful to a white cabbage salad, to the legendary "Olivier", or to make okroshka without waiting for spring. 1. Wash the cucumbers under cool water and wipe dry with a cotton towel. Use a sharp knife to cut off the ends on both sides. They are not useful for freezing.

2. On a board, cut the cucumbers into cubes with sides of 7 mm, ie. the size should be such that cucumbers can be immediately added to salads and various dishes. If you prefer to cut food into salads into strips, then freeze cucumbers in the same shape. Also, part of the cucumbers can be grated; this cucumber mass will make a delicious sauce or mousse.

4. Set the minimum temperature in the freezer and periodically, after 20-30 minutes, take the cucumbers out of it and shake them so that they do not stick together. When the vegetable is completely frozen, return the freezer to its usual mode and leave it in it for the entire period of time.
