Step-by-step herring and egg salad recipe
1. Peel the onions, rinse with running water, dry with a paper towel and chop into thin half rings. If you wish, you can pre-marinate it in 9% table vinegar and sugar for 15 minutes.
2. Dip the eggs in a saucepan, cover with water and after boiling, boil for 8-10 minutes until steep. Then chill in ice water, peel and cut into cubes.
3. Take care of herring. To do this, make an incision in the abdomen and remove all the insides. Cut off the head, tail and fins. On the back along the entire length, make an incision that reaches the vertebra. Remove the film from both sides and divide the fish along the ridge into two fillets. Rinse each of them under running water and dry with a paper towel.
If the herring is very salty, soak the fillet in water for 10 minutes to remove excess salt.
4. Cut the fish fillets into cubes about 1-1.5 cm in size.
5. Put all the products (onions, eggs, herring) into a salad bowl and pour in the mayonnaise.
6. Stir the food and refrigerate the salad.
7. Serve the salad to the table by placing it in a beautiful bowl, flat dish, portioned glass glasses or any other convenient form.
