Do you like tea bags? Our article will make you change your mind about him. Find out why you shouldn't drink this type of tea and what is included in its composition. Tea bags are of course very convenient both at home and on the road or at work. But where is the evidence that we drink tea, and not dried oak leaves or the most common grass? How can we check that this is not expired loose leaf tea, but in other words, the product has been launched on sale in a second round? Remember, good quality tea cannot be cheap and this is one of the first reasons not to buy such a product. And also do not believe in the myth that tea, fine dust, can give a much stronger drink than tea from large leaves.

Most often, to hide cheap and expired tea junk, stronger flavors are added to it, which is another important proof of the poor quality of this product. Did you know that chemical flavors are much cheaper than natural ones? But unscrupulous manufacturers are well aware of this, and they also know that pieces of dried fruit (do not even hesitate, also waste) will significantly increase the rating and draw the attention of buyers to their non-benign product. In addition, we must not forget that dyes, which are often used in cheap fruit teas, have a very negative effect on the entire body, and too much fluoride generally has a bad effect on the entire skeletal system, including teeth.

What is tea rubbish? Let's just say that any dried plant has a shelf life of two to three years, everything seems to be simple, just look at the date of tea production and that's it, we know how long it can still be consumed. But we do not take into account the fact that the packaging indicates the date of packaging of tea waste, and not the date when it was collected from tea plantations. It is from this that it turns out that we practically do not know anything about this tea, it could lie for many years in some boxes in warehouses or in basements, and have long lost even the opportunity to bear the name tea.

Three categories of tea waste

  1. Very fresh tea junk. After collecting tea leaves from plantations, they begin to rake just such tea garbage, of course, there are extremely few useful substances in it, but very little is subjected to further processing, due to which it retains its aroma, color and taste. It is usually called "premium".
  2. Medium grade tea waste, which is called the "highest category". It is formed after transportation and sorting of this product in tea factories, as well as conveyor packaging. The usefulness of the so-called tea is zero. Such a product has almost no aroma, color and, of course, taste. Faced with such problems, manufacturers are forced to add all this artificially, and they do so in order not to be left with anything and not to lose their audience of buyers. So, at first glance, all that tea gives us is just various flavors, dyes, flavors, petals of mint, lemon balm, rose or other plants, pieces of dried fruit or their waste.
  3. The lowest category of tea garbage is what is sold in the majority in Russia, it is not just useless garbage - it is also very harmful garbage. Such tea junk has an expired shelf life, which leads to the presence of fungi and chemicals that are added during the processing of the product. Proceeding from the fact that this is expired garbage - there is no taste, color or aroma here at all.

90% of this tea waste contains aflatoxin, a very dangerous substance that causes fatal damage to the liver, due to the fact that fungi multiply in it. As a result of the ingress of such poisons into the body in large quantities, a fatal outcome occurs within several days, the cause of which is irreversible damage to the liver. In addition, if they enter the body regularly and in small doses, then this significantly increases the chance of getting liver cancer.

What is included in tea bags?

  1. Paper for the production of tea bags with tea waste. The bags are mainly made from pre-filtered paper, from the same paper as ordinary napkins. But why does the napkin tear when it gets wet, and the tea bag, despite the high temperature, remains intact? The answer is simple: the already filtered paper is impregnated with a special synthetic resin, which is then dissolved in alcohol or acetone. Thanks to such procedures, the paper for the bags acquires a strong resistance to moisture, and neither lemon juice, nor cutlery, nor boiling water is no longer terrible for such paper. The fact that synthetic resins, especially in boiling water, are very harmful, probably, is not even worth explaining.
  2. The presence of fluorine in tea bags. Scientists from the University of Washington College of Medicine have found that the fluoride in tea bags is many times exceeded. The study used ten types of tea bags that were brewed with water that does not contain fluoride at all. As a final result, the level of this element showed figures from 6–6, 5 parts of fluorine compounds per million, while when the rate is 4 parts. Doctors have long found out and warn that an increased content of fluoride in the body causes a significant compaction of bones and increases their fragility. In the future, this entails such diseases as skeletal fluorosis, severe pain in the bone and joint tissues, darkening and stains on the tooth enamel, and much more.
  3. Dyes and flavors. In rare cases, manufacturers of food products, including tea bags, indicate on the packaging what flavorings or colors are in this product. But it's not just that, it is flavors and dyes of synthetic origin that contain toxic substances that contribute to the development and growth of cancer cells. This is what this fragrant and so colorful tea-bagged drink threatens us with.

If you have a desire to remain a healthy and sane person, never fall for the temptation of a quick tea party. You should always value your health, even as an office worker, you should find yourself a couple of minutes to drink real, invigorating and brewed tea. Which will give a pleasant aroma, wonderful taste and cheerfulness for the whole day.
