Potato casserole can be found in all catering canteens. Starting from kindergarten and school, and ending with sanatoriums and dispensaries. However, if you cook it at home, then such a well-known dish will turn out to be even tastier.
You can find suitable casserole recipes in every cookbook. There are many variations of its preparation. It is prepared with meat, poultry, fish, mushrooms, cheese, vegetables, offal, etc. And this is not the whole list of possible fillings. But the most common and demanded filling is meat. Its use is versatile: twisted into minced meat and used raw or fried, put raw thin layers or fried cubes. There are also several ways to prepare potatoes for casseroles. Potato casserole with meat, the recipe for which I want to share, is great for everyday and festive tables. If you are preparing it for the first time, then you should consider some important points:
- For a crispy crust, brush the last layer of the casserole with sour cream.
- The top last part should always be cheesy. The cheese is grated or cut into thin slices.
- If raw meat is used, it is better to beat it off on both sides so that the fibers soften.
- Bake it first under the foil, and then without it.

Ingredients:
- Pork tenderloin - 500 g
- Potatoes - 4 tubers
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Cheese - 100-150 g
- Sour cream - 100 ml
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
Cooking potato casserole with meat
1. Wash and strip the meat from films and veins. Dry with a cotton towel and cut into 1-1.5 cm thin slices like chops. Beat each slice with a kitchen hammer on both sides.
For this recipe, I use whole meat raw. But you can twist it, fry it, or cut it into smaller pieces.
2. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into 3 mm rings. You can also do different things with it: cut into cubes, pre-fry slightly or make mashed potatoes. Also, in this dish you can dispose of yesterday's not eaten potatoes in any form. In a casserole, it will acquire a new taste.
3. Peel the onion and chop finely.
4. Choose a convenient casserole dish and lay out the potatoes in an even layer. Season it with a little salt and pepper.
5. Scatter the onion over the potatoes. If you like it baked, then you can increase the amount of onion to the desired one. If you do not prefer a vegetable in your dishes at all, then exclude it from the recipe.
6. Put a row of meat on top, which is also salt and pepper.
7. Then add another row of potatoes and pour the sour cream over the food. You can also vary its amount.
8. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it on the casserole. You can use hard cheese, processed cheese, Adyghe cheese, etc.
9. Cover the form with foil and send it to the oven heated to 200 degrees. Keep it for 30 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180 ° C and remove the foil.
10. After cooking, be sure to let the dish cool, otherwise it will fall apart when cutting into portions and transferring.
