In the summer season, when there are a lot of fresh seasonal fruits, you always want something tasty with them, for example, bake grated pie with plums. It is prepared quite simply and quickly. This is an ideal moderately sweet pastry with a sour filling, golden brown and crispy crust. Real homemade cakes are perfect for tea and will delight all relatives and friends.
Grated pie is a great solution to a simple and quick treat. The dough is kneaded very quickly, and before baking it is grated, so the product is crumbly. The shortbread dough is simply delicious, it does not look like the usual yeast dough, because has a larger structure.
The amount of sugar can be adjusted depending on the filling and taste preferences. If plums are sour, then put more sugar in the dough, if sweet - less. The most delicious is to bake a pie with Hungarian plums. They can be cut lengthwise into 2-4 pieces or the flesh can be cut into thin slices. Ingredients:
- Flour - 250 g
- Sugar - 1 tsp in the dough and 50 g in the filling
- Salt - a pinch
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Plums - 20-25 pcs.
- Butter - 200 g
Step by step preparation of grated pie with plums, recipe with photo:
1. Place cold sliced butter and a raw egg in a food processor.
2. Then add flour, sifted through a fine sieve, a pinch of salt and sugar.
3. Knead the dough until smooth. It can turn out both in one lump and in crumbly crumbs.
4. Remove the dough from the food processor and use your hands to scoop into one lump. Wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour or freezer for 20 minutes.
5. Wash the plums, dry with a paper towel, cut in half and remove the pit.
6. In a skillet, heat 30 g butter and add the plums. Season them with sugar and caramelize over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.
7. Remove the dough from the cold and grate 1/3 part on a coarse grater. Smooth it out evenly in a baking dish.
8. Place half of the plum filling on the dough.
9. Sprinkle the plums with 1/3 more of the grated dough.
10. Place the remaining plums on the dough.
11. Sprinkle the rest of the grated dough over the fruit.
12. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and send the product to bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool the finished grated pie with plums in the form, because when hot, it is very fragile and can break. Remove chilled baked goods from the mold, cut into portions and serve.
