Today we will prepare a delicious and appetizing side dish - potatoes in a delicate creamy sauce. This is a fairly widespread dish in the world that is prepared in many variations.
Today we are preparing potatoes with Italian spices and nutmeg. But if you add rosemary, dill or caraway to the potatoes, you get a dish with a different taste. Sprinkling potatoes with various aromatic spices, they will always be different and never get bored. The cream gives the potatoes incredible tenderness. You can replace them with sour cream, and supplement with cheese shavings. To prepare this dish, it is important to choose the right temperature. You need to cook the dish at a minimum temperature until tender, then it will be tender, just melting in your mouth!

Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 5-6 pcs.
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Italian spices - 0.5 tsp
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp no slide or to taste
- Cream (homemade recipe) - 200 ml
- Ground nutmeg - 0.5 tsp
Step by step cooking potatoes with spices in cream, recipe with photo:
1. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into cubes about 1.5 cm in size.
2. Pour some vegetable oil into a saucepan with thick sides and bottom, heat and put potatoes in it.
3. Fry the potatoes over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes until lightly golden brown.
4. Add Italian spices and ground nutmeg to the potatoes. Season the dish with salt and black pepper.
5. Pour the cream into a saucepan. Optionally, add chopped garlic, grated cheese, chopped dill and other favorite spices.
6. Stir food and bring to a boil.
7. Close the saucepan tightly with a lid and simmer the spiced potatoes in cream over low heat for about 1-1.5 hours. Serve the finished dish hot with any side dish. Creamy potatoes are combined with meat, fish, mushrooms or simply with a vegetable salad.
