Veal stew with spiced potatoes is an amazing culinary recipe with a light aroma of spices, changing which you can diversify your meals. This is an independent, complete and satisfying second dish that does not require any additions. It is possible only to supplement it with a fresh vegetable salad. All the ingredients presented perfectly complement each other, revealing the true taste of meat.
The stew turns out to be juicy and tender, and thanks to the potatoes, the dish is very satisfying and nutritious. Stewing meat with potatoes is not so difficult, the only thing is that it takes a long time to cook for about 3 hours. But the veal with spices will turn out to be very tasty. Despite the simplicity of the recipe, there are also little tricks that will make the usual meal even tastier.
- Cut the meat into not too small pieces, so that during prolonged heat treatment the fibers become very soft, but the meat does not turn into porridge.
- It is impossible for the liquid or broth in which the products are stewed to boil and boil. Otherwise, the cuts of meat will be tough and tasteless.
- Pans used for stewing should be thick-bottomed and have a tight-fitting lid that does not let in steam.

Ingredients:
- Veal - 800 g
- Salt - 2/3 tsp or to taste
- Potatoes - 5-6 pcs.
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp
- Dried ground garlic - 0.5 tsp
- Dried ground green onions - 0.5 tsp
- Allspice peas - 3 pcs.
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Step by step cooking of stewed veal with spiced potatoes, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the veal, remove the film and veins. Cut it into medium sized pieces. You can use any part of the mascara for the recipe. I have ribs today that need to be cut into the bones.
2. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into cubes.
3. Heat the oil well in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or skillet. Add the meat and fry over high heat until golden brown on both sides. It will seal the meat fibers and keep the juiciness in the pieces.
4. Add potatoes to the meat, reduce heat to medium and continue frying food for another 10 minutes.
5. Season food with mustard, dried green onions and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Place bay leaves and allspice peas.
6. Fill the food with drinking water so that it only covers the food.
7. Bring food to a boil and turn heat to low. Close the pan with a lid and simmer the dish for 2-2.5 hours.
8. Stir the cooked stewed veal with spiced potatoes and serve.
