Ingredients:
- Cabbage - 300 g
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Allspice peas - 4 pcs.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Minced meat - 250 g
- Potatoes - 2 pcs.
- Adjika - 50 g or to taste
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Greens - any to taste
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
Step by step cooking cabbage soup with adjika and meatballs, recipe with photo:
1. Add salt and black pepper to the minced meat. If you wish, you can add any spices and spices.
2. Knead the minced meat well with your hands, passing it between your fingers. Then beat it off, this will soften the fibers, release the gluten and the meatballs will hold well. To do this, take the minced meat and lift it up, then forcefully throw it back onto the table or into the bowl. Repeat this action several times.
3. Wet your hands with water and form small meatballs. Their size can be from the diameter of a cherry to a walnut.
4. Peel the potatoes, wash, cut into cubes and place in a cooking pot.
5. Pour potatoes with drinking water, add the peeled onion and place the pot on the stove. Boil the potatoes for 15 minutes.
6. Wash the cabbage, cut off the required amount and chop into thin strips. Send it to a pot of potatoes.
7. Boil the cabbage for 5 minutes and add the meatballs to the pan. The meatballs should only be immersed in boiling water. If you put them in cold water before boiling, then the meat balls will turn out to be rubbery.
8. Then add adjika and finely chopped herbs to the pan. Add bay leaves, peppercorns, salt and pepper and cook the first course for 10 minutes. Turn off the stove and leave the cabbage soup with adjika and meatballs to infuse under the lid for 10-15 minutes. Then serve it to the dining table.
