Chicken drumsticks are delicious on their own. They are used by many housewives to prepare a variety of dishes. Because they are not only delicious, but also very easy to prepare. Usually the drumsticks are fried in a pan or baked in an oven. They are most often combined with onions or potatoes. But today I want to offer a completely new and surprisingly tasty dish, for which simple and everyday products are used. We will stew the chicken drumsticks in tomato sauce with the addition of beets. This combination of products makes the dish more nutritious and healthy, but it turns out to be so tasty that it can be served on a festive table.
This dish can be classified as a stew. You can supplement the composition of the ingredients with absolutely everyone. It can be carrots, and potatoes, and onions, and any other seasonal vegetables. If you are a fan of vegetable stew, then you will definitely like this recipe. Well, tomato sauce is always a topical classic that knows no geographic boundaries. This sauce, familiar to everyone from childhood, is incomparable, it is unique in its taste and is considered universal, because can be combined with almost all products.

Ingredients:
- Chicken drumsticks - 2 pcs.
- Beets - 1 pc.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
- Bay leaf - 3 pcs.
- Allspice peas - 4 pcs.
- White wine - 100 ml
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Table vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
Cooking chicken drumsticks with beets in tomato
1. Wash chicken drumsticks under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Use a hammer to chop them into 2-3 pieces.
2. Peel raw beets, wash and cut into strips. Peel and chop onions and garlic as well. All vegetables must be cut to the same size. It does not have to be straws, cubes are also acceptable.
3. Place a frying pan or cast-iron saucepan or other convenient cooking utensils on the stove and pour in vegetable oil. Heat it well and put the meat to fry. Bring it over high heat until golden brown, which will seal all the juice in pieces.
4. Add chopped beets, onions and garlic to the meat.
5. Turn the heat to medium and continue to grill the chicken and vegetables for about 10 minutes.
6. Then add tomato paste, pour in wine, put bay leaf, peppercorns, salt and pepper. If you are afraid to pour wine, because you will serve the food to children, then you can replace it with broth or ordinary drinking water.
7. Stir, boil, reduce the temperature to a minimum and simmer the food over low heat for half an hour.
8. Serve the ready-made dish to the table as it is. both meat and vegetable garnish are cooked at the same time.
