Bean puree is not a difficult dish to prepare, which can be either an independent dish, or used as a filling for pies or pies. Mashed potatoes are also added to soups, main courses, and sauces are made. The food is incredibly aromatic, tasty and rich. The meal does not take much time to prepare, although it takes almost 12 hours to prepare. But most of the time, the legume is soaked in water and cooked.

Bean puree is usually prepared in winter, because it is at this time that our body needs vitamins more than ever. And this homemade dish is very healthy for its qualities. After all, beans are a well of a huge amount of healing vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of iron. Beans cleanse the body and have dietary properties. It is prescribed as a diet for all kinds of diseases. It is a dietary and medicinal product.

Both dry and canned beans are suitable for the preparation of this dish. I used dry in this recipe. You can add all kinds of products to the puree, such as cream, eggs, nuts, prunes, sunflower seeds, butter, broth, etc.

1. Wash the beans, put them in a bowl and cover with drinking water. The amount of liquid should be 3 times more than that of legumes, because the beans will absorb most of it. Leave it to soak for 6 hours. At the same time, change the water every 2 hours to prevent the beans from fermenting.

2. After 6 hours, rinse the beans under running water, transfer to a cooking pot, fill with clean fresh water and cook after boiling for about 2 hours. Do not cover the pot with a lid. Season the beans with salt 20 minutes before the end of cooking. Always make sure that the beans are well cooked, because raw and semi-raw legumes contain toxic substances.

3. Peel the onion, rinse and chop into half rings. Melt the butter in a skillet and fry the onion until golden brown.

4. Tilt the boiled beans on a sieve to drain all the water and place them in a convenient deep container. Add the sautéed onion to it, pouring out the oil in which it was fried.

5. Take a blender and beat the food until smooth, so that it turns into a puree consistency.

6. Taste the mixture and season with salt if necessary. Although, if you wish, you can make it sweet by adding a little sugar. You can also add dried apricots, prunes, raisins or other dried fruits to the sweet base.
