Ingredients:
- White cabbage - 0.5 heads of cabbage
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Tomato paste - 1, 5 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Drinking water - 100 ml
Step by step cooking of stewed cabbage:
1. Remove the top inflorescences from the white cabbage. they are usually dirty. Cut off the required amount and rinse under running water. Blot with a paper towel and chop finely. You can do this with a sharp knife, a special grater, or a food processor.
2. Peel the carrots, wash, dry and grate on a coarse grater.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add cabbage.
4. Fry it over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes and immediately add the grated carrots.
5. Stir and continue to fry food for about 15-20 minutes.
6. Then pour drinking water into the pan and add the tomato paste. Season with salt and ground pepper. If you wish and taste, you can add all kinds of spices and spices.
7. Bring to a boil, reduce the temperature, cover the pan and simmer the cabbage for about 45 minutes. Turn it over several times to extinguish it evenly.
8. Serve ready-made cabbage to the table on its own or use for filling in pancakes, pies, pies, dumplings, etc.
