Vegetarians and fasting people can make it lean only with vegetables. But it is the meat version of the stew that is classic. As a meat component, you can use different meats: pork, beef, rabbit, poultry, veal and even giblets.
Few people know that despite the fact that stew is present in different cuisines of the world, France is considered its homeland. Therefore, the original stew features stewed vegetables with fried meat. At the same time, regardless of what vegetables and meat will be used, it is important that they do not boil over and turn into a puree consistency. To do this, you must follow some rules and then the stew will always be tasty and attractive.
- The most delicious stew of young vegetables, but any, the main thing is not spoiled, will do.
- Cabbage is suitable both fresh and sauerkraut. If it is very acidic, then rinse it first.

- Meat - 600-700 g
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- Allspice peas - 3-4 pcs.
- Potatoes - 4-5 pcs.

- Salt - 1 tsp

1. Cut off the required amount from the head of white cabbage. Remove the top inflorescences as they are usually dirty. Wash and dry with a paper towel. Chop finely with a sharp knife and place in a heated frying pan with vegetable oil. Saute the cabbage over medium heat until golden brown.

2. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into medium-sized cubes. Heat the oil in another skillet and fry it. Bring it to a rosy color, stirring occasionally.

3. Wash the meat, cut off the fat and film. Pat it dry with a paper towel. In a skillet in well-heated vegetable oil, fry the slices until golden brown.

4. In a large skillet or cauldron with thick sides and bottom, combine the fried cabbage with the potatoes.
