As usual in cooking, the copyright for the stew belongs to the French. They gave the name to the dish "ragout", which means "to whet the appetite." Today I propose a delicious recipe for a fragrant meat stew with rice and sweet red pepper. Minced meat fried until golden brown and pieces of sweet bell pepper are stewed with the addition of semi-boiled rice in a thick tomato sweet and sour sauce. This exquisite and rich bouquet is perfectly complemented by fresh herbs. Despite the simplicity of preparation, the resulting dish is incredibly juicy and soft. Ingredients:
- Meat - 500 g
- Rice - 100 g
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Sweet bell pepper - 2 pcs.
- Hot pepper - 0.5 pods
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Tomatoes - 5 pcs.
- Greens (any) - bunch
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
Step by step cooking meat stew with rice and sweet red pepper, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the bell peppers and dry them with a towel. Cut the stalk from the fruit, cut it in half and remove the baffled seed box. Cut the peppers into cubes or strips and place them in a heated skillet with vegetable oil. Fry it until golden brown.
2. Wash the meat, cut the films with veins and remove excess fat. Peel the onions. Twist the food through a meat grinder.
3. In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil and add the twisted minced meat. Saute it over medium heat until golden brown.
4. Wash the tomatoes, cut into slices and chop in a food processor to a puree consistency. If there is no such device, then grind the tomatoes in a meat grinder.
5. In one large skillet, combine the fried minced meat with the fried bell peppers. Boil the rice in salted water until half cooked and send it to the pan to the food.
6. Add twisted tomato puree, chopped herbs, salt, black pepper and finely chopped garlic and hot pepper to the food.
7. Stir, boil, screw the temperature down to the minimum setting and simmer under the lid for half an hour. Ready-made meat stew with rice and sweet paprika can be served both warm and chilled.
