Beef stroganoff is a well-known dish that is very popular all over the world. The classic scheme for its preparation involves the use of beef. But the pork option is no worse. Appetizing pieces also evoke taste emotions, beckon with an amazing aroma and delicate texture. This dish can be prepared in a variety of ways. However, the most revered recipe is with sour cream gravy. Soft and juicy meat perfectly complements the glossy and savory sauce, which softens the meat fibers, making them more tender. Pork beef stroganoff with sour cream turns out to be very tender, and the meat pieces just melt in your mouth. I cut the tenderloin into cubes, this is the classic meat cutting for this dish. However, if you prefer a different shape, you can use it. Additional products for the dish are very primitive and are available to everyone: onions and garlic, which are fried in vegetable oil. Ingredients:
- Pork tenderloin - 800 g
- Onions - 2-3 pcs. depending on the size
- Garlic - 3 wedges
- Sour cream - 200 ml
- Bay leaf - 3 pcs.
- Allspice peas - 4 pcs.
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Step-by-step preparation of pork beef stroganoff with sour cream:
1. Wash the meat, cut off excess fat, strip from the film and veins. Pat dry with a paper towel and cut into long thin 1cm by 5cm strips.
2. Peel onions and garlic, rinse and chop: onion in half rings, garlic - in strips.
3. Heat the oil well in a skillet to make it sizzle. Place the pieces of meat and fry quickly over high heat until golden brown.
4. Add the prepared garlic and onion to the meat.
5. Bring the heat to medium setting and continue to grill food over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
6. Put bay leaf, peppercorns and sour cream into a frying pan. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Stir, boil and turn the temperature down to minimum. Close the pan with a lid and cook beef stroganoff for half an hour so that the sour cream acid softens the meat fibers well, then they will be very tender and soft. Taste the meat 10 minutes before cooking and adjust if necessary. The dish is served hot with any side dish, for example, with boiled rice or mashed potatoes. It also goes well with pasta and any kind of porridge.
