What do the hostesses not invent! The recipe by which I close the tomatoes for the winter is not like the others in that it does not use the usual preservative - vinegar. Tomatoes according to this recipe are very tender, moderately salty and not at all spicy. Just a real taste, similar to the taste of tomato juice. Even children will like this blank. Let's not say that tomatoes, like all other vegetables, need to be washed, and sterilized jars is a common truth, and even the youngest housewives understand this without reminders. At the bottom of each jar, put a few slices of onions and a little chopped sweet pepper.
We fill the jars with tomatoes. When choosing vegetables for preservation, give preference to ripe, but not too soft fruits of medium and small size. Arrange the tomatoes tightly, occasionally alternating with slices of bell peppers.
Pour a teaspoon with a heap of salt into each jar (I have one liter). If you are closing tomatoes in 2- or 3-liter jars, put 1 dessert spoon or 1 tablespoon of salt on the jar, respectively.
Fill each jar with unboiled cold water.
Place the jars in a wide pot filled with water to sterilize. Don't forget to put a piece of cotton on the bottom. Cover the jars with lids. After boiling water, sterilize for 30 minutes.
After the expiration of time, the jars with tomatoes need to be sealed, turned over and wrapped with something warm. Leave it for a couple of days until it cools completely. Canned tomatoes will reach flavor after 4 weeks.
