Step by step cooking pumpkin puree
1. Peel the pumpkin, scrape off the seeds and cut off the fibers. Cut it into cubes. They can be of any size, but smaller pieces will cook faster.
2. Dip the pumpkin into a cooking pot and add just enough water to cover the vegetable.
3. Add sugar to the saucepan. This option is necessary if you will further use the pumpkin for sweet dishes. If you canning it or making a soup, then do not add sugar.
4. Then add orange shavings and stir.
