1. Peel the pumpkin of seeds, fibers and peel. Then cut into medium-sized square pieces and place in a deep saucepan.
2. Wash the apple, cut the skin from it and put it in a saucepan to the pumpkin. Wash the lemon, also cut off a little peel from it, which you can send to future candied fruits. Add a cinnamon stick and a clove bud.
3. Cover everything with sugar and put the pan in the refrigerator overnight. During this time, the sugar will completely dissolve in the juice, which the pumpkin will release and you will get a sugar syrup.
4. Pour water into a saucepan so that it slightly covers the food, and put it on the stove to boil. Let it boil for 5 minutes and cool completely. Then put the saucepan on the stove again, bring to a boil, boil for 5 minutes and refrigerate. Repeat this procedure 3-4 times.
5. After that, drain the syrup in which the pumpkin was cooked. It can be used to interlayer cakes, pies, rolls, or added to pancake batter.
6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the pumpkin slices on it. Then candied fruits can be cooked quickly by putting them in the oven for 60 minutes at 130 ° C, or simply left to dry naturally in the kitchen, which will take you 2-3 days. Sprinkle the finished candied fruit on all sides with icing sugar and store in a glass jar at room temperature.
