1. The recipe uses puff pastry, but you can use puff pastry or yeast-free dough. From puff pastry with yeast, baking will turn out to be more airy and light, but after cooling, the products will settle and slightly lose their original appearance. Yeast-free dough is more "pliable" and products made from it are more presentable.

Remove the selected dough from the freezer and leave to thaw. At room temperature, this process will take about 40-45 minutes. Then dust the work surface with a rolling pin with flour and roll out the dough into a thin rectangular layer about 3 mm thick. Roll the dough in one direction so as not to break the layers.

3. Wash the cherries, dry them, remove the seeds and put them on the dough. If using frozen berries, defrost them.
