Then transfer the cake from the baking dish to a chilling tray of a suitable shape and leave it in the storage compartment. 1. Bake the cake on a baking sheet according to the recipe. In this case, I still have a piece of the pie that I haven't eaten. Therefore, I will freeze it in chopped pieces. However, it can damage the texture of the dish. The baked goods will not be crispy, but rather soft and may become out of shape. Therefore, I still do not recommend defrosting the cake in the microwave.
