For many, dumplings with cherries are pleasant childhood memories. It is hard to imagine anything simpler than this dish: a dough made of flour and water, cherries and a little sugar … Many people love such dumplings, but we do not eat them so often. And in order to be able to eat your favorite dumplings, you need to prepare them for future use, i.e. to freeze. But for this you need to know how to do it correctly so that they do not lose their taste for a long time. To do this, simply stick more dumplings, eat one part, and freeze the other flour products for future use. The most important thing is to follow all the cooking instructions so that after freezing the dumplings do not turn into one big sticky lump. Therefore, it is important to know the following:

  • When freezing dumplings, squeeze as much air out of the bags.
  • Make sure that the juice of the berries does not flow out of the dumplings.
  • Handle the dough with dry and clean hands.
  • Freezing equipment must be dry.
  • You do not need to defrost the dumplings before cooking, immerse them immediately in boiling salted water, stir with a slotted spoon so that they do not stick to the bottom, bring to a boil and remove from the water after surfacing. But the cooking time depends on the size of the dumplings, so after surfacing you will have to boil them for a few more minutes.

11. Place the dumplings in one layer on a floured plate so that they do not come into contact with each other and send them to the freezer for 2 hours. When the dumplings are completely frozen and hardened, put them in a special food bag, which you tie, squeezing out the maximum amount of air. Send frozen cherry dumplings to the freezer for permanent storage. They can be stored in this form in the freezer for up to 6 months.

If you are afraid that the dumplings will stick to the board when frozen and it will be difficult for you to detach them from it, then wrap the board with cling film, on which you will put the dumplings. Then just turn out the bag stretched over the board, and all frozen dumplings will quickly and easily fall off.
