Mushrooms with onions in sour cream are tender, aromatic and with a wonderful creamy taste. The cooking process is simple and affordable, even a novice housewife can handle this dish. Moreover, the appetizer may well become your signature dish. Depending on the amount of added sour cream and onions, the taste of the finished dish will be different. For more tenderness of the dish, fry the mushrooms and onions in butter or ghee. For the recipe, you can use not only fresh mushrooms, but also frozen or dried ones. The frozen ones should be defrosted first, and the dried ones should be steamed with boiling water, then any of them should be rinsed and cooked like ordinary mushrooms.
Mushrooms are cooked with sour cream in a pan or in a saucepan on the stove or in pots in the oven. They can be a full-fledged stand-alone dish with vegetable salad and toast. Or they are garnished with boiled potatoes, spaghetti, rice, porridge. Such mushrooms perfectly diversify the daily menu, and replace a piece of meat steak. Ingredients:
- Frozen forest mushrooms - 500 g
- Mushroom seasoning - 1 tsp
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Salt - 1 tablespoon or to taste
- Sour cream - 150 g
Step-by-step cooking of mushrooms with onions in sour cream, recipe with photo:
1. Peel the onions, wash, dry and chop into thin quarter rings.
2. Pre-defrost frozen mushrooms without hot water and microwave oven. Then put them in a sieve, wash and leave to drain all the liquid. Cut the prepared mushrooms into strips or cubes.
3. In a skillet, heat the oil and add the onions. Saute the onion over medium heat until lightly transparent, stirring occasionally.
4. Then send the mushrooms to the pan with onions.
5. Season food with salt, black pepper and mushroom seasoning. Continue to fry them until golden brown.
6. Pour sour cream or cream into the pan.
7. Stir the food, cover the pan and bring to a boil. Bring the heat to the lowest setting and simmer the food for 15 minutes. If you want mushrooms with onions in sour cream to have a thick gravy, then you can thicken them by adding 1 tbsp to the products. (no top) flour or 50 g of cheese shavings. Serve the finished dish to the table, or use it as a filling for casseroles, lasagna, pie, pancakes, etc.
