This is not difficult to do, you just need to soak them for a long time, rinse thoroughly and cook in several waters. Then the kidneys will turn out to be delicious, and you will never throw them in the bucket because of the smell. It is also advisable to take pork kidneys, because they do not have such a harsh "aroma" as beef. Although beef kidneys belong to the first category.

Ingredients:
- Kidneys (any sort) - 2 pcs. (the recipe uses pork)
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Spices and herbs to taste
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Salt - 0.5 tsp or to taste
- Sour cream - 150 ml
Step-by-step preparation of kidneys with onions in sour cream, recipe with photo:
1. Wash the kidneys well, put them in a deep dish and cover with cold water.
2. Leave them to soak for 5-6 hours, changing the water every hour. During soaking, the buds will acquire a lighter shade.
3. Wash the kidneys, cut them in half, carefully remove the films with the ureters with a knife and put them in a stewpan for cooking.
4. Boil the kidneys, boil for 5 minutes and drain the water.
5. Wash the kidneys, put in a clean pot, fill with clean water and send back to the stove. After boiling, boil for 5 minutes and change the water again. Boil the kidneys in a similar way, changing the water 3-4 more times. In the last water, bring them to readiness for 20-30 minutes, season with salt.
6. Peel the onions, wash, chop in half rings and place in a heated frying pan with vegetable oil. Pass it until transparent.
7. When the buds are cooked, fold them in a colander so that the water is glass, cut them across (or diagonally) into strips and send them to the pan with the onions. Season with salt, black pepper and sour cream.
8. Stir the food, boil, turn the temperature to the minimum setting, close the pan with a lid and simmer the kidneys and onions in sour cream for 20-30 minutes. Serve the finished meal hot with any side dish.
