Cooking in a pot is a primordially Russian way, which has not lost its popularity today. True, unlike the ancient tradition of cooking in the oven, now they use the oven, which does not completely spoil the taste of the finished dish. This method has several positive factors. The first is quick and easy preparation. Second, long-term simmering in the oven is much more useful than stewing on the stove, and even more so frying in a pan. Thirdly, when preparing one dish, you can add spices and products to each portion exactly those that a particular eater loves.
You can use any mushrooms for pots. Most often these are champignons, which are sold in supermarkets all year round. Forest mushrooms are also suitable in any form: frozen, dried, canned, pickled. If you use fresh mushrooms, do not chop them very finely, otherwise they will be lost among other products. Mushrooms can be made more tender by adding sour cream, mayonnaise, creamy or tomato sauce. Do not be afraid to overdo it with the sauce, after brewing the mushrooms will acquire an incomparable taste and aroma.
Use clay pots with thick walls. They heat up slowly and give off heat evenly to the food. Therefore, they turn out to be stewed and retain all the useful substances. It should be noted that food cooked in pots acquires incomparable softness and exquisite taste.
