The multicooker is a great assistant in the kitchen for a modern housewife. This equipment is gaining more and more popularity every day, which, in general, is not strange. When cooking in a multicooker, you do not need to stand near it for a long time, like at the stove and monitor the cooking process. It is only necessary to unload all the necessary products into the bowl, set a timer, press the "Start" button and the cooking process will start. And when the corresponding signal sounds, the dish will be cooked.

You can cook anything in a multicooker, from first courses to baked goods. It's simple, affordable, but the main dishes are especially tasty and aromatic. Today we are going to cook chicken meat. There are many similar recipes, but I propose to start with the simplest - stewed chicken in its own juice. Such meat turns out to be tender, tasty and dietary. For the recipe, you will need chicken or any of its parts, spices and a slow cooker. And from you it is necessary only to devote a few minutes of work and in an hour you will regale yourself with a tender and juicy chicken.

  • Chicken - 1 pc.
  • Ground nutmeg - 0.5 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • Ground black pepper - a pinch
  • Allspice peas - 3 pcs.
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Step by step cooking stewed chicken in a slow cooker:

1. Wash the chicken, remove the fat layer inside and divide into parts. I use a fat homemade carcass, so I peeled it off. If you are not afraid of the extra calories and fat content of the dish, then you can leave the peel on. Also, the choice of chicken, namely home or purchased, whole carcass or individual parts, is also the right to choose. You can use the parts you like the most.

2. Rinse the multicooker bowl in running water, dry it and place it in the device. Pour in some oil, reheat on fry and lower the chicken parts.

3. Roast the poultry for about 10 minutes, turning several times. It is necessary that a ruddy crust forms on it.

4. Then season the meat with spices, salt and pepper. Pour in 50 ml of water and cover the multicooker. Set the "simmer" mode for 1 hour and cook the chicken until the signal sounds.

Note: Cooking times are approximate as each model has its own options and characteristics. However, the time difference is no more than 10 minutes. Therefore, if you are cooking in a multicooker for the first time, then check the time of your model so that you can adjust it later.

Serve the cooked chicken cooked in its own juice with a vegetable salad and your favorite side dish (porridge, spaghetti, potatoes, rice). Then the whole family will be full and happy.
