To cook chicken hearts in batter, you need very little: actually, chicken hearts and soy sauce. You can safely find all other components for batter in your kitchen. In preparing this dish, the most time-consuming process will be the preparation of the chicken hearts themselves. As you know, this meat can be quite tough, especially if it is not cooked correctly. Perhaps this is what stops the housewives from choosing this offal. However, if you eliminate this unpleasant moment, first beating off the hearts, and then pickling them for a couple of hours, then the result is a delicate dish with a delicious taste. Ingredients:
- Chicken hearts - 300 g
- Flour - 3-5 tbsp. l. (for breading)
- Chicken egg - 1 pc.
- Soy sauce - 3-4 tbsp. l.
- Seasonings to taste
Step by step cooking chicken hearts in batter
The main ingredient - chicken hearts - wash and cut each of them into two halves, but not until the end. We kind of unfold the hearts. If necessary, it is worth rinsing the prepared offal again: blood clots may come across inside.
Cover the cutting board with cling film, lay out the hearts. Cover the top with another layer of film and lightly beat off.
We put chicken hearts in a bowl, add spices. I limited myself to the classics, adding ground black pepper, but you can add rosemary, oregano, paprika to your taste. Fill the hearts with soy sauce, mix. Leave to marinate for 1-2 hours.
Cooking ice cream: break the egg, add a little salt.
Dip the heart in the egg.
Following the egg, roll a piece in flour on all sides.
Fry the hearts on both sides in a preheated pan in a little oil until tender.
While still hot, ready-made chicken hearts in batter are served as an independent dish, as well as with a side dish or vegetable salad.
