Chicken dumplings are tender and tasty. They will not leave anyone indifferent. They are consumed on their own, with a sauce or side dish.
Ingredients:
- Flour - 300 g
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Milk - 200 ml
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Chicken legs - 250 g
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
Step by step cooking of chicken leg dumplings:
- Pour flour on the table in a slide and make a depression in the middle in which you place eggs, oil and salt.
- Then slowly pour in the milk and knead the dough so that it does not stick to your hands.
- Form the dough into small balls, which form into a thin round tortilla.
- Remove the meat from the legs and twist through a meat grinder.
- Combine minced chicken with crushed garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
- Put the chicken filling in the middle of the tortillas, 2 tsp each. and pinch the edges of the dough.
- Dip the thigh dumplings in a saucepan of boiling salted water and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
Knedley in German
For the first time, dumplings were prepared in Germany, which is where their name "knodel" actually appeared. German dumplings, the recipe of which is presented is a simple, tasty and at the same time unusual dish.
Ingredients:
- Bread - 500 g
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Milk - 100 ml
- Eggs - 3 pcs.
- Parsley - a bunch
- Vegetable oil - for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Breadcrumbs - 2-3 tablespoons
Step-by-step preparation of dumplings in German:
- Cut the bread into medium slices.
- Peel the onion, chop and fry in a pan in vegetable oil until golden brown.
- Wash and chop the parsley.
- Combine bread, onions, parsley and pour in milk.
- Toss and add salt, pepper and bread.
- Knead the dough until smooth to thicken the mass.
- Form into small balls and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Boil the salted water and place the German dumplings in it.
- After boiling, cook the balls over low heat for 5 minutes.
Classic Czech dumplings with meat
The recipe for Czech meat dumplings is made from yeast dough. They are usually served with meat or stewed cabbage.
Ingredients:
- Flour - 250 g
- Eggs - 1 pc.
- Milk - 120 g
- Fresh yeast - 10 g
- Salt - a pinch
- Sugar - 1 tsp
Step by step preparation of Czech meat dumplings:
- Melt the yeast in warm milk.
- Sift flour, add sugar to it and slowly pour in warm yeast.
- Knead a tight dough and leave in a warm place for 1 hour, covered with a towel.
- When the dough rises, knead it and form small dumplings into a loaf 20 cm long and 5 cm in diameter.
- Boil czech dumplings with meat and steam, hanging on cheesecloth or in a colander over boiling water, or use a double boiler.
