Ingredients:
- Eggplant - 1 pc.
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Cheese - 100 g
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Olive oil - 2-3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2-3 tablespoons
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Tomatoes - 3 pcs.
- Mustard - 1-2 tsp
Step by step cooking eggplant turrets, tomatoes with cheese and garlic, recipe with photo:
1. Prepare all foods. To cook eggplants, purchase a variety of varieties, the main thing is that they are free of stains and damage, smooth, firm and not overripe. Wash the selected fruits, dry with a paper towel and cut into 5 mm thick rings. If the vegetables are ripe, sprinkle them with chopped salt and leave for half an hour to release the solanine, which adds bitterness. Then rinse it with running water and wash off the released droplets of moisture, along with which all the bitterness came out. It is not necessary to carry out such an action with young fruits, tk. they do not contain bitterness.
Wash the tomatoes, dry with a paper towel and cut into thin rings. Choose fruits that are dense and firm, because with soft pulp, it will be difficult to cut the vegetable, and juice will flow out of it.
Peel the garlic. Rinse and chop finely with a knife.
Cut the cheese into thin slices.
In a small bowl, combine mustard, soy sauce, salt, black pepper with olive oil and mix until smooth.
2. Place a few eggplant rings in a baking dish and brush with the prepared sauce.
3. Place the tomatoes on top of the eggplants and season with the garlic sauce.
4. Place cheese slices on top of the tomatoes.
5. Repeat the same process. Put the eggplant on top of the tomatoes and season with the sauce.
6. Arrange the tomatoes, season them with garlic sauce and add the cheese. Repeat another layer of the same food to complete the composition with cheese.
7. Heat the oven to 180 degrees and send eggplant, tomato, cheese and garlic turrets to bake for 20 minutes.
8. Serve them warm. Although after cooling, they remain the same tasty.
