The benefits and harms of curd cheeses
The benefits of cottage cheese are undeniable and everyone knows it. Cottage cheese is a fermented milk protein product that contains a lot of calcium, iron, phosphorus and amino acids. These elements are necessary for the human body for improved liver and kidney function. Of course, it is better to eat fresh cottage cheese. However, cottage cheese is poorly stored, which quickly deteriorates its quality. Therefore, it should be used as soon as possible after manufacture or purchase.
You can store cottage cheese in the refrigerator for about 1-2 days, and then only after heat treatment, for example, for making dumplings, cheese curds, curd cakes. Cheese is stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days, and in the freezer for up to 90 days.
Glazed curd cakes are not a dietary one, but a high-fat, high-calorie product. The high sugar content in them has a negative effect on the condition of the teeth. But on the other hand, such curds perfectly cheer up. They can be safely attributed to the category of gourmet foods that are better to be consumed. Therefore, when preparing glazed curds on your own, you need to give preference to components with a lower calorie content and fat content.
