In a minimum amount of time, you will have puffs with apples from ready-made puff yeast dough. The recipe is so simple that even an inexperienced housewife can handle it. Now you can buy dough pieces in any store and for such cases store them in the refrigerator. Of course, if you don't trust store products, you can make homemade puff pastry for future use and store it in the freezer "just in case." And when you need to defrost it and cook puffs with any fillings: cheese, apples, cherries, plums … There is a huge scope for creativity!

Ingredients:

  • Purchased frozen puff yeast dough - 200 g
  • Flour - for dusting the work surface
  • Apples - 4 pcs. medium size
  • Oil - for lubricating puffs
  • Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tsp

1. Defrost the frozen dough. It is advisable to do this on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, or in extreme cases at room temperature, but not in the microwave.

Then dust the countertop with flour, also flour the rolling pin, and roll the dough into a thin layer about 3-5 mm. Cut it into rectangles as large as you want the puffs to appear.

2. Wash the apples under running water, dry with a paper towel and remove the seed box with a special knife. Cut them into wedges, strips or cubes, or any other shape, and place them on one edge of the dough, leaving the other half of the dough free.

3. Season the apples with sugar to taste and ground cinnamon. Make staggered cuts on the free side of the dough.

4. Cover the apples with the free edge of the dough and seal the edges well. Lubricate the puffs with butter, vegetable oil, or egg yolk so that there is a golden brown crust. Send the apple puffs from the finished puff pastry dough to a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve them for a dessert table with tea, coffee, milk or cocoa.
